I have a customized WordPress site built specifically for my business. My main problem is that when I use a plug-in or widget it simply does not reflect on my site. Most recently I installed the Constant Contact email catching widget and it simply is not visible. Yet this is visible:

    “Sidebar Widget Area

    Sidebar widget area is empty

    To edit this sidebar:

Go to admin Appearance -> Widgets and place widgets into “Sidebar Widget Area.””
stuck in my sidebar. Every time I mention it to my programmer he says something that tells me he is the only one who can really change it–as if it’s deeply embedded in the coding or something. http://healingpathfargo.com/massage/

you may change you current theme to some of wordpress defaults, like twentytwelve to see the widget working or not. I guess yout current theme needs some modification to reflect your widgets.
