    Hello,

I have a wordpress.com site and am trying to install constant contact forms (inline and/or pop up) onto my website. I have placed the universal code into the footer and the inline code into the page however the forms do not appear to be registering.

Constant Contact do have the following statement on their instructions:
Wordpress.com is not the same as ww.wp.xz.cn. WordPress.com doesn’t support 3rd party Javascript or plugins of any kind. If you’re using WordPress.com, we recommend creating a Landing Page Sign-up Form. You can then copy the Landing Page’s URL and link it to a button or text link on your WordPress.com website.

However the help desk on wordpress.com have said this is incorrect and have pointed me here. Please can anyone advise?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @watercoloursbylynsey

I just checked the link provided by you and it is showing a form that definitely appears to be generated by our plugin here. Are you still needing help with the universal code part? or are you in a good position since the support thread was created?

I’ve added a header and footer plugin in order to place my universal code from Constant Contact. I added said code to the header section. I added the “inline” code onto the page that I wanted the form to appear and it does not show up.

    Can someone please help?

Do you have a link for where we can see this @jessieshokler ?

    This is the page

I was able to add the inline code for one constant contact account (NY and Southwest) as you can see there. But I need to add Florida’s Constant Contact form all the way on the right. That’s where it lives currently but is not being shown and I do not know why.

    Best,

Hmm…definitely seeing what you’re seeing, and I’m curious if you remove one of the other ones, does the 3rd one show up?

Otherwise this forum support area isn’t necessarily best for the universal code support, as that’s technically separate from our WordPress plugin, but I’ll do the best I can still.

Ive tried that and no such luck. The reason I’m implementing this code instead of using the plugin is because when I tried to update the CC plugin, it caused a fatal error on my site and it crashed. I had to deactivate the plugin and add the CC code manually through the universal code and inline code.

Maybe I’m adding the universal code in the wrong place?

Appreciate any help you can offer 🙂

there’s no “right” or “wrong” place to output the universal code output. it’s meant to be placed where you want the forms to show up. However, it seems like the javascript for this isn’t working and creating the third form like expected.

The support channels through https://www.constantcontact.com/ will probably be a better bet with the universal code options, as my support here is focused just on the WordPress plugin. Hopefully someone through constantcontact.com can do a bit more investigative digging for why only two out of three are showing.
