E_ERROR was caused in line 177 of the file /nas/content/live/[redacted]/wp-content/plugins/official-facebook-pixel/vendor/facebook/php-business-sdk/src/FacebookAds/Http/Exception/RequestException.phpThis seems to happen whenever I access the website to make a post.
When I access the plugin’s panel, all I see is “To protect your security, http://www.facebook.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.”
So, is this error because Facebook is forcing the load of that “you submitted an appeal ON 9 DECEMBER 2025. Check back here for the result” page? A well-planned plugin shouldn’t be requiring off-site credentials to function beyond an established API connection.
Facebook is the worst of the worst advertising service to use. Since they, or rather their “AI” has banned a lot of users lately, and there is no human listening on the appeals side, all of us who administer multiple pages and campaigns have to fear losing access to our or our clients’ advertising, since Facebook foolishly bound administration to our personal accounts.
This however is just one more badly done thing.
If the API and the plugin were thought out, we could see statistics and settings here for as long as the API connection was valid, not requiring our Facebook accounts of each user to be valid. The website isn’t even connected under my credentials, it is connected under someone elses but as the web admin I appear to need a live facebook account to not have this error thrown, even when I am in other pages of the website’s admin panel.
People get locked out of their websites’ ads administration, and analytics this way. Since Facebook’s AI, according to a lot of Reddit and Stack Overflow threads, to be banning real users for reporting bots, this is going to become more and more of a problem for more and more people, for as long as there are still a few actual people left on Facebook.
