    Hey WordPress-Forum,

    I want to edit the text of the “Contact us” button.
    I have edited the text in the language file, but unfortunately it doesn’t work.

    Hello @stephanbro,

    The plugin is using the languages files downloaded from ww.wp.xz.cn (to wp-content/languages/plugins, and the ones from his folder are just for fallback.

    In this case, you have 3 options.

    1. Contribute on wp.org if there is a translation error and a wp.org moderator will approve/reject the contribution: https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/wp-maintenance-mode
    Take notice that this process is not very fast.

    2. Use LocoTranslate plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/loco-translate/

    3. Copy file from wp-content/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/views/maintenance.php to wp-content/wp-maintenance-mode.php. After that, you can edit wp-maintenance-mode.php however you need.
