    Hi,
    I was wondering how I can make the name field in the contact form NOT required. I know you usually recommend contact form 7, but due to other incompabilities I would greatly appreciate if you could let me know how to create a function for this.

    Hey,
    It’s not an option and the code isn’t really set up to be edited. So yes I recommend contact form 7 if you want anything custom. If there is some incompatibility with that plugin then there are others but I would be worried about whatever plugin is making it incompatible.

    If your determined to do this with the Kadence form, the code is in the kadence toolkit plugin. You would have to edit the page-content.php file. Remove lines 100 – 105

    Then on line 195 remove these two classes from the input field: required requiredField
