    I am using Joints-WP starter theme. What is happening is that I have a fixed header image/video and i want the content to scroll over top of it….obviously like content over a fixed header should perform :).

    But the container that has the #content ID set on it has a transparent background. I have tried changing it in my custom css file and upon inspection in chrome it is showing that the #container has a background of #dadada but it is still transparent. I have tried putting the css style on #inner-content also with no luck.

    What am I missing?

    I figured it out. I had to set the #content container to position: inherit.
