After upgrading to WP 3.9 and PHP 5.4 we began getting content coding errors –

It turns out that WP Super Cache was compressing files and just turning off the compression clears the problem. “Uncheck” the compression box in Settings, WP Super Cache, Advanced, Miscellaneous, “Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors”.
