Content limit doesn't work.

When setting content limit, the slider ignores this and keeps displaying wrong amount of characters!
Tried to use excerpts combined with <!–more–> tag, but then the link to the post disapeared…
When is this bug fixed?
Is there a workaround?Best regards.
