Content Searchable
-
So far your plugin has been AWESOME. Today I noticed an issue that I am really hoping you can help me out with.
We have been using your plugin to build a custom WP theme with a plank style layout. Each page has multiple plank sections with unique content. The top plank is editable via the standard WP page editor and each subsequent plank has a unique widget block assigned to it. We have created a custom template for each page with the appropriate calls to its respective widget blocks and everything looks great.
However we have just discovered that all of the content contained in any of the widget blocks is not searchable. For example if you visit the following page http://bassodesigngroup.net/dakkota/talent/ and scroll to the second plank “Dakkota University” which is being generated by the widget blocks plugin. Now do a search for Dakkota University and no results are returned. It sort of makes sense to me that WP probably has no way of knowing what page that widget blocks content is being displayed upon since it is dictated by the custom page template.
I was hoping that you might be able to provide some insight as to how I could get WP to search through the content contained in a widget block and return it in a list of results. Then I could possibly try to get that content to at least display on a single post template.
Thanks,
Jason
