Exactly the same problem here with, perhaps, a slight difference…
Existing toggles that I have already made and published are working fine, however, when I create a new toggle these have the same issue as the user above. They appear expanded although I have set them to appear collapsed.
I do notice that what I go to create the new toggles now, there is a slightly different method of adding content inside them. Previously I would see a + sign within the toggle’s drop down, but now that + sign is no longer there and instead there is a place holder which says ‘ panel content’
Any help with this would be great. It’s some days now that this is not working and I have been unable to discover why.
I have tried de-activating and even re-installing the plugin but it still does not work
It sure would be nice to hear from the Developers about this, even if it’s only an acknowledgement that they’re looking into it.
Yes, it would be helpful for sure.
As a workaround I have used the ‘tabbed content’ block instead. However, looking at your page and how you are using the toggle I can not see that the tabbed option would work for you.
Let’s hope they come back with a solution for this…
If I stumble across a fix, or manage to discover why this is happening (another plugin interfering with its performance etc) I’ll come back here and let you know, please do the same
All the best
Hi @beckythames, @jmpc, and @yogendrarai! Thanks for letting us know. We’re able to recreate the issue with the initial collapsed view of the content toggle block, and we’re now working on a fix. We’ll let you know when it becomes available.
@jmpc We had to switch to the new method of adding new content since the old method stopped working after the last few WordPress updates.
Great! Thank you so much @alexius08
Hi @beckythames, @jmpc, and @yogendrarai. I posted with similar issues and got a response from @alexius08 to try duplicating a panel by clicking on a placed panel ‘plus’ icon that appears on the panel block on hover. The duplicate panel worked great; stayed closed on initial view, toggle status icon in the left as specified and correct h tag.
Hi @katieasccc. Thanks for the possible solution. I tried this and added new blocks the way you suggest. The minute the sub-blocks have content in them, it stops working. I’ll have to wait for @alexius08 to work on the solution. I hope @yogendrarai and @jmpc are having better luck.
@alexius08 – Hello! Do you have any news on this? Thanks.
Hi @beckythames! The fix for this issue will be part of the next version. We hope to be able to release it sometime next week.
Hi @beckythames , @yogendrarai and @jmpc ! We’ve released a new version of the plugin that fixes the issue with the content toggle block. Please upgrade to the latest version and let us know if the content toggle block now works without the workaround.
Hi Alexis, thanks for this update…I’m going to check now
Hi Alexis,
I’ve now checked and I can see that it is now working as before. Thanks.
The only small issue is that I am now no longer seeing the ‘plus sign +’ within the panel content that allows me to add a new block in the panel content.
This is not a big issue as I can simply add a new block by using the editors main ‘plus sign +’ at the top left of my screen and this way it works just fine.
Thanks for the fix and the update.
Wish you a healthy new year
