Hi – this is an update for the topic I opened a couple of months ago here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/not-detecting-errors/. Apologies for not having responded before – I got sidetracked!

The updated plugin was still not working on the site I linked to, so as an experiment I set up a brand new site on Cloudways (link included above)

I installed the GeneratePress theme, and the only plugins installed are:

    • GeneratePress Pro
    • GenerateBlocks
    • GenerateBlocks Pro
    • Accessibility Checker

I made one change to the default theme settings, which was to change the body text to a very light grey in the customiser.

When I checked the Accessibility Checker info, the lack of contrast between the grey text and the white background still hadn’t been detected. The only issues detected were 2 “ARIA hidden” warnings.

I thought this might be useful for you to know – it seems a bit strange!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @caroline72, there could be several reasons why those contrast errors aren’t being detached. We’ve complete reworked the color contrast scanning in the next release which will be releases very soon.

I’ve also just set up a new site here https://wordpress-905419-3778882.cloudwaysapps.com/index.php/sample-page/, with no plugins installed, and using one of the default wordpress themes, and the same thing is happening.

I’m beginning to wonder if it’s me – am I doing something wrong? I’m very confused!

No problem. We’re testing the release now and hope to have it out this week.

Hi Steve – just wondering if there’s been any progress on this. The contrast checker still isn’t working for me. Thanks!

Hi @caroline72, Yes, there has been progress on this. We had this fix slated for the next release that is coming out this week but we’ve pushed it out a bit because it needs some more refining. Thanks for your patients and we hope to have this released in the near future.
