• I have a login page with the test username as “1” and the password as “test1”. This user is set up as a “Contributor” in the user database.

    One the user logs on, they are redirected to a page with a text box (currently for testing purposes) which allows the person to enter their user id (in this case “1”).

    The user clicks a button which sends them to the participants update page “?pdb=1”.

    The user information is displayed, however they cannot edit the record and none of the controls are present.

    User = “Contributor”
    Participants Database Admin Settings for Record Edit Access Level is set for “Contributor”

    Getting the user to an editable record requires a “private link” that contains an access code. Normally, this link is emailed to the user.

    Another way to do this is to use the Participant Login add-on I offer, which presents a form for a name or email (you can choose which fields they need to enter) and then they are taken to the editable form.

    If you want to know how to set up the private link, follow the “Setup Guide” in the Participants Database admin menu.
