    Hey
Today I found that contributor role cannot post anything. After deactivating themes and plugins, it seems that it is userswp which somehow blocked contributor role to create or edit any post.
Can you help? or do I have to try another plugin…

    Best regards,
    Susan

  • Hi,

Can you explain a bit in detail like posts from the frontend or backend? Are you using any plugins for frontend posting? You can check the capabilities assigned to the contributor role using plugins like User Role Editor and try to assign the required capabilities if not found to check if it helps or not.

    Regards,
    Patrik

    Hei
The default wordpress Contributor role has these capabilities:
    delete_posts
    edit_posts
    read

I checked from URE the Contributor role in my site has exactly same capabilities.
No change to anything else, Contributor role can create new posts just by disabling usersWP.
I think something inside UsersWP makes the Contributor role not working.
I use only default wordpress posting method, don’t use any plugins for frontend posting.

    Best regards,
    Susan
