conversion tracking

I want to track how many visitors I’m converting from my website.

Specfically that means how many arrive at my contact page and then ACTUALLY submit.

If there was a ‘thank you for submitting’ page I could track that, but there is only a message.

Is there a recommended way to track visitors who actually submit?
