• We are using Woocommerce. We have an add to cart event setup and the event seems to be working for the most part. For example, I see it in the test events in Facebook’s event manager. The problem is that the Add to Cart event does not have any data other than the url. I believe content_ids, content_type, and possibly other parameters should be there.

I believe the reason, is that Pass Advanced Data is not configured. I’m unsure of how I’m supposed to configure these fields. Is there a doc or guide that explains what is expected when configuring advanced data?

    Hi,

the AddToCart, as well as all DPA events, are automatically added by Pixel Caffeine if you enable the e-commerce integration in general settings. The events automatically added by Pixel Caffeine already adds inside the parameters with the product info (such as content_ids, value, and so on).

My understanding is that you are adding the AddToCart event from the Conversions/Events tab, but as I said before, you don’t need to add it manually.

If this is your case, please remove the manual event and leave the default one. You can check that the events are correctly fired by using the Pixel Helper Extension.

I had that thought too, but I wasn’t the one that setup the plugin for our company and we’ve been having a hard time contacting them. In case they created them for a good reason, I didn’t want to start by deleting the custom events.

Your suggestion is defiantly an option that I will try at some point. But is there any documentation on what I should put in the Pass Advanced Data fields?
