    Hi there,

I am a complete website/WordPress newbie and would like to set up my very first website concerning the 86 outlying territories of the world (in German).

Due to its isotope/masonry style I selected the Baskerville 2 theme.
Thus, I would like to display the collected information with one container per topic.

I started with one blog article per topic and finalised this procedure for the US Virgin Islands.

However, during this procedure I realised that it is probably not the best way to link 86 category pages as main content of the website than 86 real subpages.

Therefore my question: What is the best way to convert the Amerikanische Jungfern-Inseln blog articles into pages?
Using a plugin (like Post Type Switcher https://de.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/post-type-switcher/) or is there any better (easily inserted) code?

Thank you very much for your reply.

    Sebastian

I don’t understand. Surely the theme does not display pages in the way that it displays posts.
You have a large number of territories to cover, so organization is important.
If there is only one page per territory, you still need to present some sort of navigation for this. If there is more information than will fit on a page, it makes sense to have multiple posts in a category for that.
A concept for navigation is an image of a globe, which you click to see information on that area. This is doable with image maps (an HTML term), and there are plugins that help you create clickable images like that. But you’d still need to have the information structured so that it appears at the link you specify on the map (whether that is a category or a page).

The plugin you mention is a selector per post, which is not that great for changing a large number at a time. There was an old plugin called Vice Versa that would switch posts to pages and vice versa, but it is not coming up on the plugin directory. I think it handled the taxonomies as well as the post type.
