• I know how to make a particular page a ‘posts page’ i.e. one which will display all my blog-posts. I can do this easily through settings.
But what if I want multiple pages to become blog pages, then what do I do?
For example, my website is ritvikc.com I have two separate pages for literature and music, which appear as a drop-down menu under the ‘Read’ page. I want my literature blog to appear on my ‘literature’ page and my music blog to appear on my ‘music’ page. How do I achieve that?

  • Create a separate Category for Literature and Music, then add those to the menu. You won’t need to set a page for your Categories.

If you don’t want to mix Literature and Music posts at all, don’t set any page as the Posts page.

    This could help:

    Hello Jacob,
But how do I create a separate category for Literature and Music? I’m new, so I don’t know how to do that. Then how do I add that to the menu?
If I don’t set any page as posts page, would the Literature and Music posts still appear as standard blogs like they do now?
Will be very grateful for any assistance on this.

Under Posts in the admin Dashboard, you’ll see Categories. Go there and you can create categories. Then when you create posts just choose one or the other.

For the menu, when you edit the menu in Appearance > Menus, in the list of things you can add to the menu, on the left, Categories will be one of the options.

Oh, thanks for the help Mr Peattie.
I already did the ‘appearance > menus’ thing long back. I’ll figure out the first step and revert.
Thanks a lot for your help.
