Hi all

noticed even though I have had imagify for years my images are all still jpeg and png

What is the safest way to convert to webp

I do have a testing site. should I run on the testing site first?

is their a way to one at a time and see how it appears and look?

Hello,

Thank you for your messgae.

You can enable WebP generation following this doc: https://imagify.io/documentation/enable-webp-images-works/

To verify if Imagify is functioning properly, especially in terms of displaying Next-Gen images like WebP or AVIF on your site, follow these steps:

1. Enable the “display WebP” option in your Imagify settings (Settings > Imagify). This will allow you to check if there are any images not displayed in Next-Gen format and if a Next-Gen version has been created for them.
2. You can check if a Next-Gen version of an image is created by appending “.webp” or “.avif” at the end of the image URL.
3. You can also refer to the following link to learn how to check if your images are displayed in Next-Gen format on your site: How to Check if WebP Image is Displayed on Your Site.

Yes, you can optimize few images on your test site and enable WebP display to verify before implementing it on the live site.

Best Regards,
