I have the password protect plugin set now to 30 days until I can get this issue resolved. Ultimately it should be 1 day.

I’m using elementor for the site, and have installed/using a plugin called Document Library Pro (https://barn2.com/wordpress-plugins/document-library-pro/). The client wants the page his document library to appear to be password protected and only viewed by him.

I installed PPWP since there is an elementor widget and can be styled. Plus the client does not have to log in to the back end to retrieve their documents.

Everything seemed to work correctly until we moved from the staging site to the final url (on same server), and after awhile when trying to log in to that page, we get the message: “Cookie check failed”. All licenses have been transferred.

I have deactivated the caching plugin that was installed, and several other plugins that are not critical, but the situation remains.

In the PPWP plugin, I only have the 30 days marked.

The theme I am using is the basic Elementor Theme “Hello”. The site is simple except for that one password protected page.

I have searched and searched, but cannot find an answer to this problem. I read one post here from 2 years ago that had the same problem, but not sure it addresses this one.

    Thank you for your help,

    W. Schaefer

    Hi @schaefer,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

It look like a caching issue. Have you cleared cache on hosting server and your browser yet?

To assist you better, may we know:

    1. The password of your sample protected page for us to check.
    2. The hosting provider and cache service you’re using
    3. Some screenshots regarding the error message, if any

    Awaiting your reply.
