    Hi,

I just installed your plugin. When I do the cookie scan and sync with cookiedatabase.org none of my cookies are attributed to a service. See here: https://ibb.co/bNQK8v8

The site runs on my local development machine. Could this be the issue?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Best!

    Hi @leysmedia,

I develop on localhost setup as well, without any issues, but your computer my block the requests. Do you have a firewall active?

Just to make sure it’s been tried: did you try re-running the sync?

    Hi Rogier,

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried running it several times already and I have no firewall active.

I have uploaded the website from my development box to the production environment and there the cookiedatabase sync does work. Do you have any tips how I can debug this? It would be nice if it also worked on my computer.

(I use wampserver to develop on my local machine)

    Best!

    Hi both,

I’m also having an issue connecting to the Cookiedatabase. I leave it to connect but nothing happens and I’ve pressed ‘sync cookies’ several times. The blue bar completes but it still says ‘connecting’. I’ve approved API in previous page too.

    Thanks!

    Hi @explorewithed,

Is this also when developing locally, or in a live environment? For the latter, please start a new ticket as it will likely be another issue.

    Hi @leysmedia,

Please try running a sync with cookiedatabase.org locally and see if you can find the requests in the server log. The most likely thing will be a 403 error like Rogier suggested.

You can check your browser console as well, and see if there are errors during the synch.

    Hi @explorewithed @leysmedia,

    Anyone still with an issue?

    regards Aert

    Hi Aert,

    Thanks for following up.

I can see the ‘used cookies’ list after pressing ‘sync cookies with Cookiedatabase.org’, but the ‘used services’ don’t appear on the cookie policy. For now I’ve added the ‘used services’ cookies myself on the ‘used cookies list’ using the ‘add new cookie’ option.

    Hi @explorewithed,

I understand we contact by email as well, so I will close this ticket because this seems very specific to your situation.

We will contact you further by email.

For anyone having trouble with synching with cookiedatabase.org, please start a new thread. Make sure to try multiple times, and check if you have a security or firewall plugin that might block the requests.

Hello, just as a heads-up, I had the same issue and the obvious solution for me was to check the ‘Outgoing connections’ in the Advanced settings part of my hosting cPanel server.

Simply allow (whitelist) the complianz outgoing connection and try resyncing. Hope it helps.
