Hi @agence247,
Can you please attempt the following steps:
Wizard > Cookies > Cookie Scan > “Do you consent to the use of the cookiedatabase.org API?” > Set to “Yes” > Click “Scan”, wait for it to complete.
Then go to Cookies > Cookie descriptions > Click “Sync”, and wait for it to complete as well. After finishing, go through the remaining pages in the Wizard and click Finish. This should ensure that your Cookies are correctly synchronized with CookieDatabase, and get the necessary information attached to them.
Just let me know if you have any updates about this.
Kind regards,
Jarno
Thanks for your reply
I’ve already done this manipulation before creating this topic but it hasn’t changed anything
Hi @agence247,
It sounds like the request that Complianz makes to the CookieDatabase API is getting blocked, so it doesn’t receive the necessary information.
Do you have an active security plugin or any specific security settings that you suspect might be blocking this request? I’d be glad to assist, but it’s a challenge for me to say exactly what could be causing this without knowing what your setup looks like.
Kind regards,
Jarno
Hi @agence247,

Hello
We haven’t installed any security plugins, but we’ll try to change the cache plugin.
Thank you
Hello,
I have the same issue on a website hosted by Gandi Simplehosting. I’m wondering if the problem could come from the hosting plateform because I have another website with almost the same settings and plugins hosted elsewhere and the cookie sync works.
Hi @anybodesign, @agence247,
Yes, it could very well be the case that your web hosting provider is blocking IP addresses from certain regions. You can verify if this is the case by checking the server log file to see if the request to CookieDatabase is getting blocked.
I’ve seen this earlier today where I was unable to visit a user’s website with my original IP in the Netherlands, but a VPN in France worked fine.

Jarno
Hello
My webhost tried to connect to cookiedatabase but the Nginx server denied the connexion:
[...]
hosting-user@SH-FR-PM-NnbB:/$ curl -I https://cookiedatabase.org/
HTTP/2 403
server: nginx
[...]
The public IP range for my server is 155.133.142.64/26
Can you check this out?
Hi @anybodesign,
We’ve just checked and this IP range had been banned/blacklisted from CookieDatabase due to brute-forcing attempts. This should now be fixed.
Is the site hosted on some sort of Shared hosting service?
Regards,
Jarno
OK thanks! I will try to sync again then š
Yes it’s the shared hosting service of gandi.net
I confirm that the problem is solved!
