    Hello

Does anybody know if WordPress (or the plugins) use cookies? If yes, is there any way to shown a message telling that (and requesting to accept) once a visitor gets into my blog?
I’m worried about the legislation in Europe requesting this formal approval before using cookies

    Thank you

After a fresh installation with no plugins and the default Twenty Fourteen theme, WordPress does not send cookies to any front-end visitors, but it will of course save a login cookie for you when you log in to the Dashboard.

With that said, some embedded media (like videos from YouTube) add cookies for front-end visitors, some plugins add cookies for front-end visitors, and some themes have features which add cookies for front-end visitors.

It’s best to just protect yourself with a blanket notice if this really concerns you, and there are several plugins which provide that functionality: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tags/cookies
