Depends on the theme you are using and what it is you are trying to add and where, but in general, you should not modify theme files – your changes will be lost when the theme is updated, and you can really mess up your site if you don’t know what you are doing.
What are you trying to do? A link to your site would be relevant as well.
My website is: http://cinderellastravelshoes.com
I am am trying to enter the green code:
<img src=”http://www.ipage.com/green-certified/hosting-badge-5.png” border=”0″>
and the site lock code:
<div id=”sitelock_shield_logo” class=”fixed_btm” style=”bottom:0;position:fixed;_position:absolute;right:0;”><img alt=”malware removal and website security” title=”SiteLock” src=”//shield.sitelock.com/shield/www.cinderellastravelshoes.com”/></div>
<meta name=”e-mailit-site-verification” content=”E-MAILiT_E138040527052475016c1a36″ />
I think you have a simple solution too.
Please go to the Admin panel of your website. Then go to Appearance and then go to Widgets section. Then from available widgets, select Text and then paste your code on the text box and save it.
If this method didn’t work, you probably need to place that code onto your theme and its a little more complicated.
Hello good people.
I’ve got a site that was built on WordPress using the Addington Theme. Now I want to move this very same site to a different theme, i.e the Ultimatum theme, without making any changes to the site. Kindly assist.
Thnks in advance
