When I try to paste with the copy & paste feature I get a dialoge box asking me what field I would like to paste it in, having tried dozens of field names nothing is working and it’s getting really frustratin as there’s no indication of a suitible format and the documention makes no mention of this part of the process, or what it’s actually looking for.

So am I meant to put here? Some guidence would be nice, cheers

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

In order to use the Copy/Paste feature of the Flexible Content, you have to first copy a layout using the icon in the handle. This will add layout data into your clipboard.

Then head over a new page which has the same Flexible Content field, click on the dropdown button next “Add Row”, choose “Paste Layouts”, and paste data from your clipboard. See video demo.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

It’s really not clear you have to paste the copied code into the dialogbox, the wording sounds like it’s asking you for a field name and single line text entry also supports that.

TBH if that’s what you want pasted in there it seems like a really odd step to include at all.

I can see this being really confusing for a client handover I found it confusing and I’m the one hand coding the ACF plugins

    Hello,

Unfortunately the javascript prompt() only support single-line input. The “paste” step might look odd but it is mandatory, since the browser can’t read the clipboard without actual user input for security reason.

I’ll try to enhance the wording tho, to make it more clear.

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
