I’m posting my solution for the SSL issue. When making any change in a gallery a file is saved in /wp-content/uploads/grid-gallery/cache. The file name corresponds to the number of your gallery i.e 1-ssl. You have to MANUALLY change the image links from http:// to https:// EVERY time you update your gallery.
I please request the developers of this plugin to fix this in a next update.

Thanks for your reply. Is the issue fixed in update 1.13.5? I need to make sure before I upgrade that I won’t have to fix all the -ssl files again.

This will be fixed in the next scheduled fix.
We will answer in this topic when the fix is ready.

After 2 updates without fixing this issue, are there any news?

We have re-examined your question. We do not quite understand its essence now.
Installed on a remote site with SSL.
Installed a gallery – all images are loaded via https:// as expected.
    Disabled SSL comes with http://
What is required of us in this case?
