Good day,

So I see it is a cors issue that I’m having, the site is on https but the call to load the pdf is done over http

The page at 'https://www.___.co.za/resources/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint 'http://www.___.co.za/wp-content/uploads/ipages_flipbook/18/config.json?ver=1590138489'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

I’ve tried various suggestions but I can’t seem to fix this issue. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? This is for the Pro version.

There are 4 possible solutions:
1) Setup redirection from HTTP to HTTPS – https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4083221/how-to-redirect-all-http-requests-to-https

2) Edit your .htaccess file and add the CORS section like below

# BEGIN CORS
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
<FilesMatch “\.(jpg|png|json)$”>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin “*”
</FilesMatch>
</IfModule>
# END CORS

3) Edit your WP settings

4) Try to use the “SSL Insecure Content Fixer” plugin if you use HTTPS

Hi –

I’m getting:

Failed to load a config file “https://www.[mysite.com]/wp-content/uploads/ipages_flipbook/1/config.json?ver=1584421335”

This happens in Chrome and Safari, but not in Firefox.

I’ve checked to make sure the https settings match in WP. I added the CORS bit to the htaccess file. And I added the SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin. No go.

Looking for the error in Google, it seems a number of sites running iPages have been affected.
