We’ll need more details:
What scanner are you having an issue with, and what exactly is happening? For example, you can’t enable Plugins/Themes scanner – you click “save”, page reloads… does it stay enabled for a while, or reverts to disabled immediately?

Hello,
When I change a parameter in “Hack Guard” and save it, there is the loading wheel of the page but not the lower banner that confirms the recording
Could you check your error_log file(s) and see if there are any notices in there at the time of saving?

It depends on the host and configuration. Start within the wp-admin folder, and then the next level up. This may help

Can it come from the hosting? I installed two sites on the same hosting and they have the same pb with Shield Security.

Need to see error logs if they’re there. I don’t know what’s happening
Quick question… what version of php are you running on your site?
oh. I was hoping you’d say <5.4
Were you ever able to find error logs? Perhaps your host can provide them?
Can I find them in cPanel?
I have just accessed this section from cPanel and there are no referenced errors
To quickly follow up on this, could you try the following:
– disable 1 plugin at a time on your site. Then test saving hack guard settings and when it starts working, turn the plugin back on and test again to confirm. Then let me know the plugin which, when disabled, hack guard can save settings.
– if no plugins are interfering, try switching your them to twentyseventeen and test again. If this happens, let me know what theme you’re using.
