Can you deactivate all your other plugins and enable one of the default themes such as Twenty Seventeen and see if the issue persists?

I think I found the reason. An option of the plugin “WP Super Cache”:

“Make known users anonymous so they’re served supercached static files.”

    When active, prevents user switching.

Strange, it shouldn’t affect the login screen like that. It sounds like a bug in WP Super Cache.

Thanks for the update. Could you report this to WP Super Cache please?

I’m using an older version of the plugin WPSC atm, I’l try the latest WPSC soon and see if the behaviour is the same.

I’m having issues with switching users over. Prompted with “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again (hyperlink).”

The plugin has already been updated. I don’t have the WP Super Cache plugin installed either.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance,
    Julia
