HI there, under tools there is an option to optimize data, when running it we always get the following message, any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Oops, something has gone wrong and we couldn’t complete the optimization of your SEO data. Please click the button again to re-start the process.

We have the premium version and woocommerce addon.

  • Hello!

Can you please perform the following and see if it resolves the issue?

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to your WordPress admin dashboard > Tools (sidebar) > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and select the ‘Reset Internal link counter’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Indexables tables & migrations’ buttons
    4. After resetting, go to the WordPress admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Tools section and click the ‘Start SEO data optimization’ button

Rumejan can I also ask, when submitting the XML sitemap to google, do we only submit the one main sitemap? Eg /sitemap_index.xml or do we also submit all of the sitemaps that are in the /sitemap_index.xml link?

also we followed your suggestion, this time it runs but gets about 40% of the way through and it bombs out, with the following message each time.

Oops, something has gone wrong and we couldn’t complete the optimization of your SEO data. Please click the button again to re-start the process.

Glad to know that resolved the issue. As for your other concern, please create a new thread for easier tracking.

Sorry, I missed your last message. Can you please check if there are Javascript errors on your browser’s console? Please follow the steps here. If you found errors, please send us a screenshot.
