countdown doesn't count down, only static time shown

    Just like many others I don’t manage to get the countdown actually counting down – I have to refresh the page to get it updated.
    Unfortunately I am far from expert on jQuery and the like so I can’t really judge if I am only victim of yet another jQuery conflict. (Didn’t want to hijack other people’s threads, so I start a new one – and for the time being I have no plans to simply switch to another countdown)

    I already tried v2.2.10 and 2.2.11a, cleared browser cache, disabled caching for that specific post – all without success.

    Any hints are greatly appreciated, the page in question is http://the.mnbvcx.net/2013/11/vorfreude/
    And it doesn’t matter whether I use widget or shortcode, the timer remains static.

    (Funny enough the timer on your homepage does count down, so I guess I can exclude proxy or browser settings from the root causes.)

    OK, seems I found the root cause: for performance reasons I had all script files defered (via Sergej Müller’s Toolbox plugin) – as soon as I disabled defer, the counter started moving.

    Just like Google said:

    Warning: Defering JavaScript can often dramatically improve the rendering speed of a site, but careful evaluation is required to ensure the site continues to operate properly.
