• Hey guys,

ever since I installed WP Total Cache, I’ve noticed a significant drop in post views counted by Post Views Counter. If I got it correctly, I have to set “Counter Mode” to either “Javascript” or “REST API” for the views to be counted correctly again. What’s the difference between the two and how do I find out which of the two is the approriate choice for me?

    Thanks and best regards!

    Hi,

What are the features of Total Cache you have enabled? Object caching? Javascript caching? Did you try playing with them to see the difference?

Both o JS modes – REST API and Javascript are good, while REST API should be slightly faster.

I have enabled page, browser and object caching, minify for CSS and JS files is set to auto. Will try to set counter mode to REST API and see if it helps – thanks!
