That worked for the display, how do I remove the dropdown with the countries and for US so it’s just a blank number field without the icon?

We are glad to know that the issue is resolved.
Unfortunately, by default, you cannot remove the dropdown from the job board application field of type “Phone”. You can take help from an expert WP developer to remove the phone drop-down for you.
