Counts view from installation only

    I don’t get it… why can’t all the plugins do what the Jetpack popular posts widget CAN do, namely just get the views from wordpress? What am I missing?

    Otherwise, good plugin.

    The reason is simple: self-hosted WordPress sites don’t keep track of page views anywhere. This is the reason why plugins such as this one exists – to provide this feature.

    The Jetpack plugin, on the other hand, is integrated with WordPress.com’s API which -unlike self-hosted WordPress sites- does offer page views statistics. This is why they do provide this data while other plugins don’t.

    is it possible to integrate with google analytics to get the page views?
