That is wonderful news about using WP Express Checkout! We use it on another site and it has been a wonderful performing plugin.
The only thing that worries me is:
“After a successful transaction is complete, the customer will be emailed the registration link to fill in their membership details”
Forcing a customer to check for activation link can be a support nightmare. Email hitting SPAM boxes or customer does not read leads to many problems at PayPal.
Anyway, I guess it is what it is:)

I was following the integration of Simple Membership and WP Express Checkout.
Setting up a new product at WP Express Checkout and only see option for one-time payment.
I assume that WP Express Checkout cannot be used with Simple Membership if recurring payments are needed?
Love to have coupon option available but need recurring payments. Any ideas?

The WP Express Checkout plugin has a subscription module that should work with simple membership and it can offer the discount coupon.
I also added this request to our wishlist to try to create a coupon solution in the future.
