If you use the regular WordPress search widget you’ll be able to search for courses too.

If you need a search for courses only you could try a plugin like this one: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/custom-post-type-widgets/

It has a bunch of custom post type specific widgets and search is one of them.
