At the moment, when you add courses, they are displayed on the website in chronological order – from the newest to the oldest.

However, it would be great if we could manually change the display order of the courses with the following options in the backend:

    1. You either add predefined options like: Now-Old, Old-New and Alphabetical.
    2. Or you allow us to manually sort them using Drag and Drop (this would be the preferred way).

    Why is this important?

For my use case, I have a simple website where courses are structured on modules (Module 1, Module 2 …). So right now, if I add the courses randomly, they will display on the website in the order they were added (Module 3, Module 5, Module 1 …), which is awful.

This change would give more clarity and order to the entire setup.

    Thanks!

    Hello @tanohex

First of all thank you for your query and suggestion.

    1. For now, you can manually do this by adding the code snippets that we have provided in our docs to sort the courses. You can find it here.
    2. This will be nice to have within our plugin. I will create a feature request regarding this feature and discuss within our teams.

You can always create a new ticket if you have any further queries. Thanks.

@lihsaa Please note that the snippets in your documentation, don’t work if you want to sort the courses inside Categories.

They work only for the main courses page.

Hi. I’m new to masteriyo, an just pruchased starter edition. This interests me too. Well, if You do not have too many courses, You could always duplicate the one You want first, and then delete the one You copied from, or reset the original course to Draft mode.

I realize this is no ideal way of doing it, if You have some courses, it can be time-consuming. But I only have 2 so far, and was also irritated that the second course in a series showed up first, before the primary course.

You could also use cathegories to sort, I think.

But this is no biggie, Masteriyo is great software, I highly recommend it. Thanks.
