When we use an image as background in cover block, it not uses its original image width and height as attribute in the image. That cause page seepd issue in google page speed insight. As we are already making image size to cover using CSS then why not we also show the image height and width attribute for those cover block background image?

  • Hi there @hozefasmile! I see what you mean. Being able to select the image size would have a huge impact on performance. I found that there is already an open issue where this is discussed in the case of the Cover Block. There is also a second issue where this is discussed in general, for all blocks that handle images.

I am going to mark this support request as solved, since there is not much we can do here, but please feel free to continue the conversation on the two issues I mentioned above.
