    Hi there,

    Can you assist please?

My gallery should appear at the top of this page, but appears to be completely transparent since a recent WordPress update.

I’m not sure how to get the cover photo of the gallery to be displayed as it used to be.

I can click on the empty space, and the gallery functions as normal and displays each underlying photograph one at a time.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Kind Regards
    David

  • Hi David,

    Thank you for reaching out!
From what I can tell, it seems something interferes with Modula.
Can you please try installing this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ ?

After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.

Go to its troubleshoot mode and activate only this plugin and see if the same issue happens with no other plugins and a default theme.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Hi there, thanks for your message.

It seems there is an incompatibility with Imagify that didn’t exist in previous updates. Is this a known issue?

    Kind Regards
    David

Thanks for letting me know about Imagify.
It seems this plugin also converts certain images to webp if a setting is turned on.
Please go to Settings > Imagify > and scroll to the “Optimization Webp format” section > uncheck the options to convert images to webp and save.
    This will solve the issue.

I’m sorry, Modula at the moment only supports the file types supported natively by WordPress, and webp is not yet supported: https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Uploading_Files

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
