Hello @tiffweb,
Could you share how you’ve added that field in your content?
Thanks, Jory
Thanks! But I’m not sure what you are asking! Tiff
I’m thinking it sounds like perhaps I’ve missed a step somewhere?
Tiff
Maybe you are referring to the Template for my CPT ‘Historical Documents’?
This is what I have there:

Hello @tiffweb,
Check, that is what I meant!
Please use {@file._src.medium} (change medium to the size you want) to get the PDF link.
The date can be found with {@file.post_date}.
I don’t think file metadata can be fetched with magic tags.
Cheers, Jory
Thank you! I tried the tags you suggested!

But it doesn’t seem to change my page at all.

I was looking for help on your site for templates and all the different tags.
https://docs.pods.io/displaying-pods/pods-templates/pods-template-editor/
but the page is empty. Do you have another link where I can read about this?
Thank you for your help! Tiff
Hi @tiffweb,
Have you checked out the “Grow Beyond Posts & Pages” Introduction to the Pods Framework video? We highly recommend it to give you a better understanding of how Pods Works, How Custom Posts Types & Fields work in WordPress and the easiest way to display your content.https://youtu.be/Df9uvxp0160
Regards, Jory
In addition, the primary pages you’re looking for are on Template Tags and Magic Tags which are linked under that section on ‘Displaying Pods”:
https://docs.pods.io/displaying-pods/
The Template Editor and Pods Templates are honestly just chunks of html code that include merge tags. That’s explained in the video. We’re working to make the docs better but being a free plugin with free support, resources are obviously tight.
Also, how are you calling that ‘template’? Are you using Auto Templates?
If you’re not using Auto Templates and some other approach, Context matters. Nothing will display in that particular template unless you’re calling the Pods Template directly from the post in question or from a loop that is looping through those posts.
Thanks guys for your replys. I’m gonna watch that video! Maybe that will help me understand your last comment about how I’m “calling my template”. Cause right now, I don’t know what your talking about!! LOL Thanks for giving your time so freely!
Yeah if you just jumped in without having any idea how the stuff works, you need to watch the video. It explains all of this.
