CPT not changing category

I have a Custom Post Type with a Custom Taxonomy, I want to expire posts by changing the taxonomy.

When you start typing, the custom taxonomy option (which are set for that post type), do not appear, only the main post categories do.

I can type in the full taxonomy name and save. but when I go back into the post the box will be empty and the post does not expire on the set date.

The plugin used to work with my Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomy, but I think it stopped working sometime next year, when you did a major update.
