Cpu Usage 90 – 100% - page 2

Hi There ,
I recently moved my website from godaddy shared hosting to vps :
4 core
30gb ram
Full ssd

Im using centos 7 & vesta cp , my website has around 400k-450k hits daily . All the posts have 1-2 images included , basically i run newspaper website .

I have installed around 12 light plugins and total cache . I already tried to disable all the plugins but most of the time my cpu stays 95% . Ram usage is around 1.5gb – 2gb from 30gb in total.
I dont know what other info i have to post to get some help, please if anyone had cpu issues how did you fixed ?

Agreed with @james. The analogy of cutting hands is perfect.

@pookie156 I suspect that such high usage indicates that there is something fishy going on, you need to re-check the security of your site and check the access logs to see if there is a malicious bot eating up your server resources and get in touch with your hosting provider.

It seems all the heavy stuff is caused by what is running under admin, if only VestaCP runs there, I would recommend talking to them about the high CPU utilization, as it doesn’t appear to be caused by your WordPress site

Wordpress site it’s hosted on vestacp .
The site it’s not running under user “root” but admin

Marius means that it looks like your Vesta Control Panel is using the vast majority of your server’s resources, and that you should contact them for suggestions on decreasing that.

I’ve never used Vesta myself, but that’s also a common problem for cPanel on low-level VPS servers, where resource-wise it just winds up using most of the server itself.
