Hi, I am using customizr and am at a loss.

Before moving to this theme, I had a blog page. This would show my posts on my site.

I now can’t get my blog page to show such things. I have read lots and I realise that one solution would be to make my front page static and chose my post page to be my blog. I also have read a lot about making child themes etc, but that seems so excessive for such a simple task.

    My site is http://www.samwildphotography.com

and help would be massively appreciated!

and I should say, I like the way my front page looks so making it static isn’t really an option 🙂

I went to your site and i don’t see anything on your home page other then the slider!
So if your setting in reading pan for Front page display to be your latest posts, then your blogs would show up on front page!

If you set your home page as static page and blog page as Post page then you will see your posts on the blog page!

    Please verify your settings!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes but when you set your front page to static, all the blog posts come up on there too annoyingly?

I’m having the same issue. I like the default home page with the featured pages, etc. and I want to have a link in the menu to a blog page with the posts.

When you go to choose a static page as your homepage, the default home page isn’t in the drop-down list, I only get all the other pages of my site.

How do we make the default homepage with the slider and featured pages appear in the drop-down so we can select it for use as the static home page to give us the ability to put the posts page elsewhere on the site, while retaining the default homepage with the slider and featured pages? At the very least is there a code snippet that we can input to make it show up?

    Site is vectorfinesse.com.

Create an empty page called “Home” and set that to be the static page (it doesn’t have to be “Home”, but that’s easy to remember).

If you want a few words of introduction on the home page, below the featured pages, then enter the text in the page you created.

You can see this in action on my site.

For samwild1, whose problem is different:

In Appearance > Customize, go to the Front Page panel and select Front Page displays: Your latest posts. This should display your blog posts on your front page.

    If it doesn’t, then:

    1. select Front Page displays: A static page
    2. Posts page: select --Select--
    3. Front page: select --Select--
    4. Click Save & Publish
    5. Then change Front Page displays to Your latest posts
    6. Click Save & Publish again.

Please let us know the outcome and which method you had to use.
