• I have taken over a website from a previous developer and i have not created templates before . He had created a template to be used on some pages. I would like to use the base of this template, modified for a new set of pages . I have copied the .php file, changed the template name , ftp’d it back to the template folder with a different name in the child theme . When i go to create a new page in admin and click the template drop down only the default and original appears – not mynew-
    theme /
    child /
    page-templates /
    original-template.php
    mynew-template.php

The original theme is blankslate , with a blankslate-child being the active template , i have uploaded to the child them folder

Is there something else i need to do to get this to show in the templates selection .

    Any suggestions would be welcome
