create and position a widget area

hi to all,

first i would like to say that i tried to post in plugin area but the site logged me off when i go to the plugin area forum, why?

please, if someone can help me about to position a wiget outside of the expected sidebars?
i read about registered_sidebar… but not clear.

i would like to know the process to create one, the objective would be to create a new widget area, to fill inside just one widget (a login widget) and to position it a the top right of the WP page (the screen).

at least, even if someone doesn’t know the process to build a new widget area, how to position a widget outside of it’s sidebar?

the idea would be to put the widget inside a div… after, i can position exactly where i want…
