create footer

    This theme does have a footer already. If you would like to make changes to the footer’s content, copy footer.php from parent directory into child theme directory and edit it.

    any easier way…..? that beyond my level….

    No really – if you modify theme files, your changes will be lost when the theme is updated. You really don’t want to go there :/ .
