Create new URL

    Hi,

    I cannot find a related post so apologies if any repeats.

    WP to Twitter has created a URL and then tweeted, but there was an issue with the URL shortening (remote YOURLS).

    I have since fixed the issue and now new posts create the short URL and tweet exactly as expected.

    How do I now clear the ‘Previous Tweet’ that includes the longer URL to replace with the new shortened URL?

    Well, the ‘Previous Tweet’ is really just a record of what you’ve done in the past. It’s not an editable field. I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to accomplish.

    When the YOURLS settings were incorrect the plugin failed ro create a short URL before tweeting.

    Now when updating a post, the plugin will send a new tweet. The problem is that instead of creating a short URL it includes the long URL that was previously tweeted.

    I need it to create the short URL.

    The URL is saved in a custom post meta. If you go into the database and delete that custom post meta, it’ll use the short URL instead.

    Since you’re asking about short URLs, I’d be interested in getting you input on the future of URL shortening in WP to Twitter:
