    I am trying to create a link with a dynamic value using a short code and it keeps wanting to keep me on my existing domain.

    <a>LINK</a>

    How should I change the format of my link?

    Not sure why my code was updated but here is the code I put in my post that I need help with.

    <a href="[vg_display_data key="custom_websiteurl" data_source="user_meta"]">Link to Website Here</a>

    Maybe the quotes are conflicting, you are wrapping the shortcode with ” and using ” inside the shortcode. Maybe try to wrap with ‘ and use ” inside or viceversa.
