I can’t seem to add anything to the main menu on my front page.
(I am using the polaroid theme)

I click to add a page to the menu for my contact details and it comes up as added, but it is no where to be seen when I view my site.

Does any one know why this is happening? And how I go about adding another heading to my menu list

I have followed that guide, but it still won’t change, is it because I have my new post page as my first page? Rather than a home page?

Have you added your new menu to the Primary location in Appearance -> Menus?

I don’t know how to do that.

There is no option within Appearance to add a menu to the primary location.

I have added a menu and added some pages into it, saved it etc, but it is still not showing up anywhere

Have another look at WordPress_Menu_User_Guide. I’ve just re-written it to try and make the process a little clearer.

In the dashboard, go to Appearance > Menus

Directly under the heading “Menus” there should be a little box titled “Theme Locations”. Inside that little box is a drop-down menu labelled “Primary Menu”. You can use that to choose the menu you previously defined with all your pages.

If you’re still stuck, try posting a screenshot for us to see.
