Hi, both EU and US server are operational and the free API keys work in both regions. Please try it again, maybe it was just a temporary connectivity issue. If you keep having problems connecting to the server, please provide more information about the server response.
@danielregeci I get a 401 error from the server. Only when I select in the WP admin US server the API keys work. Had the issue on different days and for different domains (sites).
Sorry I get a 403 error. Tonight I tried it on yet another wp site and got for both the EU server and the US server the 403 error. I double checked the keys.
Make sure that the keys are generated for the domain name you’re verifying from – API keys work only one domain name, for which they were registered. If you’re testing on localhost for development, you have to use a different key. The error message from the server response should indicate in detail, why you’re getting the error.

Server responded with 403. Verification failed. Try again later.
Same if I select US server.
The keys are generated for the domain I’m trying to verify. Keys are made for this domain specifically. Not testing on localhost, always live environment.

Hello again, it’s strange, free API keys should work across regions. Please contact us via email (https://altcha.org/contact/) and send the keys (including the secret and the domain name, ideally the download JSON file with all information) so that I can test it directly and figure out what’s wrong. Thanks.
I sent the information to the contactform.
