Creating Free Tickets

I need to add a ticket type that has a cost of $0.00 for members as my event is NOT a members only event as its open to the public but i need an option to create a free ticket type. When i make one but set the price as $0.00, the ticket type doesnt show up on the page. Am i missing something? Theres not documentation on this anywhere.
